Oysters are unlikely to feel pain
The French-language Science program “Science et Vie” fielded a listener question that asked “Do oysters feel pain?” Dr. Crook gave her opinion on this question by discussing the nervous system of oysters, the difference between nociceptive reflexes and the emotional response of pain, and ultimately the presenter reassured the listener that pain experience in oysters is extremely unlikely.
