Visiting the Grass Lab!

While our lab postdoc Gabby is spending a whole summer as a Grass Fellow, PI Robyn Crook was invited to give a talk to the fellows about cephalopod welfare, pain and regulation. It was great to catch up with various collaborators at the MBL and enjoy some great science discussions.

We also enjoyed several excellent lobster rolls, a wonderful Woods Hole tradition - we’ve enjoyed lobster rolls at Shuckers every year we’ve spent time at the MBL. And this year we got to share them with one of our SFSU colleagues, Professor José de la Torre, who was teaching in the Microbial Diversity course.

The MBL has always been a central place for cephalopod research, and it’s fantastic to see early career scientists excited to enter our field.
